I come from a time where, if you wanted something, you figured it out yourself. No shortcuts. No handouts. I’ve been on a skateboard since I was ten—streets, parks, wherever we could ride. That life puts you in places most people never see.

My best friend’s mom gave us a shot—let us take over the backyard shed and build a mini ramp. She paid for the materials. We put in the work. No clue what we were doing, just figuring it out as we went.

I was a twelve-by-twelve shed. The ramp was two feet high, eight feet wide with four feet of flat. Rough, sketchy, loud… perfect.

We skated it all winter. Frozen hands, busted knuckles, no stopping. Every day, same thing—show up and ride.

That’s where it started.
